A day of discussions, readings, workshops on the theme of Poetry in Process, covering topics such as: manuscripts, drafts and revisions of poems, poetry in performance, changes in critical reception, works in progress, translation, the making of books / magazines / audio and video recording / other poetic artefacts, ideas of inspiration and creative process, collaboration and influence.

Panel papers will take place in the morning. Lunch will be provided, and accompanied by a performance of Frank O’Hara’s Lunch Poems by volunteers. The afternoon will feature a reading by Jamaican poet Kei Miller and an interactive session featuring three Italian poets (Andrea Garbin, Fabio Barcellandi, Luca Artoli) and their Irish translator, Dave Lordan.

The event is free to attend, all welcome.
