Founded in Genoa, Italy in 2010, almost by accident, Dorothy’s Doll launched itself as a cover band after only 2 short rehearsals and a single gig.  With its music and arrangements being described as sounding as good as or, dare it be said, better than the original tracks, the move to making their own originals was the band’s next inevitable step.   In July 2010, Dorothy’s Doll recorded their promotional demo, “Guess What” at Quake Studios in Genoa.  These 6 tracks, ranging from Depeche Mode to Pink, clearly illustrate the band’s intentions to maintain an original sound. With no time to waste, the group has already begun composing and recording tracks for their debut album.   The background of the band is firmly set in rock, providing each member with the intensity and power needed to sustain their distinctly compact sound with American-style leanings in melody and speed.  Blending that with each member’s unique musical career and style, Dorothy’s Doll has managed to create a highly charged buzz in a very short time.    The aim of Dorothy’s Doll remains focused on developing its future by preparing its promotional material and working to wrap up the debut album that, they promise, will take you completely by surprise.
