Aggiungiamo solo che il disco esce venerdi 24 giugno ed è stato registrato nientemeno che da JIM DIAMOND (White Stripes, The Dirtbombs, etc etc) nel suo studio di Montpellier. 

 

Erica Toraldo (batteria e voce) e Gianni Vessella (chitarra e voce), Il sound si ispira al trash’n’roll minimale dei Cramps, abbinato ad un wall of sound di "Jon Spenser-iana" matrice (agli albori) e che sfocia, manco a dirlo, in riferimenti a Gories ed Oblivians, ma strizzando anche l’occhio alla neo-scena noise-rocknroll di San Francisco. Insomma una bella ventata di aria fresca nel soporifero panorama italiano e che sta già varcando i confini. Nei THE DEVILS non troverete echi di psichedelia modaiola, temi hype e look studiato a tavolino come nella stragrande maggioranza delle nuove band, o politically correct, ma tutto l’esatto contrario, ma suoni deraglianti, ritmi martellanti, sfrontatezza, pericolosità ed anche un pizzico di provocazione, perchè "questo è ROCKNROLL baby". E così deve essere per chiamarsi tale!

The Devils named themself after Ken Russel’s super B-Movie ’the devils’ from 1971, inspired by listening to Blues and Punk and many other Undergrund Bands (The Cramps, Hound Dog Taylor, The Gories, Jon Spencer, Fugazi, Hasil Adkins, The Oblivians etc) they formed their own band in 2015 in Neaples Italy, the Deep South of Italy.

 

Gianni Vessella plays the Guitar and Sings and Erica Toraldo hits the Drums and Screams in the Microphone. In the Beginning they did Countless Shows in Italy DIY and France where they meet up with Jim Diamond from the Dirtbombs who recorded their first Full Lenght album, the same Day Reverend Beat-Man from Voodoo Rhythm records was in the same town and got their recordings and signed them up on the Label.
